Rebekah Silveira (Beck)Beck also graduated from the University of Sydney with a Physiotherapy degree (First Class Honours) in 2014.
During her honours year, Beck investigated the effect of exercise on ankle ligament laxity and assisted in a project that updated guidelines for Acute Whiplash Associated disorders management. These projects gave her great insight and experience in rehabilitation of lower limb injuries and neck pain/disorders. Beck undertook a position at the Prince of Wales Hospital where she gained extensive experience across multiple areas of physiotherapy including musculoskeletal outpatients, spinal rehabilitation, aged care rehabilitation, cardiology and ICU. With a love of learning Beck has undertaken numerous postgarduate courses in Sports Physiotherapy (level I), Clinical Pilates and lower limb tendinopathy management. She has extensive sports coverage experience, having worked as a physiotherapist for Netball NSW’s state and metro leagues as well as local AFL teams. Playing representative netball growing up ignited a love for team sports and interest in accelerated rehabilitation from injury. Outside the clinic, Beck enjoys baking, discovering hidden coffee gems and participating in team sports like netball and oz-tag. Beck always looks forward to meeting new patients and working closely with them to understand their goals and assisting them to reach their full potential. |
