Carly graduated from Sydney University with a Masters of Physiotherapy in 2011 and began her career in private practice straight away. She has had extensive experience in treating complex hip, pelvis and spinal issues and has gone on to complete further studies in Women’s Health. She has also treated a wide range of sporting injuries, along with completing Sports Level I and II courses.
Carly’s assessment and treatment model looks at the whole body and not just treating the injury but looking for functional or biomechanical deficits to help prevent recurrence. She uses a combination of manual therapy, exercise prescription and dry needling and also spends a lot of time educating her patients about their condition which significantly helps with their self-management.
Carly completed studies in Women’s Health early on in her career after seeing the huge impact pelvic floor problems can have on peoples lives. She is passionate about helping women with their pelvic floor issues and also treating pre-and postnatal women for pregnancy related issues.
Outside of physiotherapy, Carly has recently been busy having two young children and running a business with her husband. She stays fit by playing netball, running and going to the gym and loves all things food related – cooking, eating and dining in restaurants!
