Women’s Health Week: Say Yes to You!

It’s Women’s Health Week 2025, and this year’s theme “Say Yes to You”, is all about prioritising your health, wellbeing, and confidence. Women often juggle work, family and life responsibilities, putting their own needs last. This week is a reminder to pause, tune in, and invest in yourself.

Why Prioritising Women’s Health Matters

Health isn’t just about avoiding illness, it’s about movement, strength, comfort and confidence at every stage of life. From pregnancy and postnatal recovery, through menopause and beyond, your body experiences constant change. Prioritising your health can help prevent issues or catch them early, including:

– Pelvic floor changes: bladder leakage, prolapse or pelvic pain

– Musculoskeletal pain: back, hip, shoulder or other joint discomfort

– Bone health: Maintaining and building bone density across life

– Energy, posture and wellbeing: To ensure the body is functioning optimally

Regular Health Checks Matter

One of the simplest ways to “say yes to you” is staying on top of your health checks:

– Routine physio assessments for movement, strength and function

– Pelvic health checks

– Bone density screening when appropriate

– Other general health screenings – blood pressure, mammograms, and regular GP visits

Early detection means issues can often be managed more effectively, reducing long term pain or dysfunction.
